EquiFit Physio was established in 2014 by Chartered Physiotherapist Lisa Emerson, initially providing specialist physiotherapy services for horse riders throughout Yorkshire and the North West. Due to the huge demand for rider specific services EquiFit Physio quickly expanded and began to provide Rider analysis and Simulator sessions alongside more conventional physiotherapy services.
Following the success of the rider clinics, EquiFit Physio continued to evolve and now provides specialist physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to equines, as well as riders, with the aim of strengthening partnerships and maximising potential while promoting health, wellbeing and function. EquiFit Physio provides a holistic approach to both horse and rider and partnership between the two are at the heart of the services we provide.
In addition to Horse and rider services EquiFit Physio is pleased to offer Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation services to Canines and other animals as the benefits of physiotherapy are not exclusive to horses and humans! We teamed up with House of Hound Hydrotherapy, Huddersfield, in January 2018 and the CanineFit Clinic was born, providing a weekly canine clinic every Wednesday exculsivly out of the centre!!
